Up until a year ago I would have said that for me it was a bit of mystery, but with Agile you learn very quickly... or get left behind!
Here within DVLA our first real venture into the Agile world has been in working on the View Driving Record digital exemplar which is the first step in transforming the way in which customers and authorised government or commercial companies can access Driver records.
As Project Executive for this work I’ve seen a very real change in the way in which things can be delivered. With excellent support from the Government Digital Service and DfT we really have done things differently – and it’s great to see things that would in the past have taken months to get done get delivered in weeks or even days!
We’re looking to use this learning as we work on the next two Digital Exemplars, which are Vehicle Management and Personalised Registrations. It’s great to see that there is a real buzz around the place about the opportunities Agile delivery offers.
