Well the first half of 2015 has certainly flown but what a great 6 months, with the launch of both PR online services into public beta. It’s certainly been a busy and challenging 12 months to get us to this position but it’s certainly been worth it. When you look back, not only have we put these services online but we’ve also simplified and transformed our services according the needs of our customers.
We launched take a registration number off a vehicle into public beta on 23 March with put a registration number on a vehicle following into public beta on 21 May. We highlighted previously on our blog, the take up rates of our new digital service and the good news is that during July, take up rates for take a registration number off a vehicle reached 68% and put a registration number on a vehicle reached 42%.
But, we’ve not been resting on our laurels and the job is far from finished. Since we’ve been in public beta it’s been great to hear and receive feedback from our customer’s both commercial and consumer of how easy and simple the services are to use and how we can improve it. Here’s some feedback we’ve had:

Just used the new service to remove a number plate (aka retention) and it couldn’t be easier - very impressed! It’s so refreshing to have an on line service become available on the day it was scheduled to go live and work exactly as expected - especially a government department!
Your feedback is vital, so please continue to leave us your thoughts, we do listen and make changes. It’s great to see how even the smallest of tweaks can improve the customer journey and understanding of what will happen next and what our customers need to do next, once they have used our online services.
