In the past week the first live data was copied from DVLA's legacy driver database into the new Integrated Enquiry Platform (IEP). This is a crucial milestone on the journey to providing the View Driving Record service.
We've overcome many hurdles to get us to where we are at today, notably delivering new technology hosted in a secure cloud environment. But, the hard work doesn’t stop here. The benefit of an automated testing approach throughout the project has led to reduced testing effort. As we approach go-live we still need to ensure that quality and data standards are met.
At the same time, we’ve been putting the finishing touches to the screen design and are close to having our performance dashboard ready. We’ve also trained our contact centre advisers so that they're ready to assist users unable to access the online service.
All this activity means only one thing. The clock is ticking ever closer to the day we can launch our public beta. I'll keep you posted on progress.
